1 dead, 6 injured in multi-car crash in Baltimore

The number of people who rely on automobiles to get to and from work and other places in Baltimore is on the rise. With more vehicles on the road, the likelihood of becoming involved in a car accident increases. Many of these crashes are caused by drivers not paying attention to the road. Distractions are everywhere these days and come in many forms. Talking on the phone, texting, stereos and even passengers can all take a driver’s attention off the road. These distractions can have potentially serious and even deadly consequences.

This was the case for a fatal car accident that occurred in Baltimore recently. The accident happened where Pressman Street and North Fulton Avenue meet. Although the details are not clear and authorities are continuing to investigate the accident, it is known that the accident involved four vehicles. Two cars crashed into each other in the intersection, killing one of the drivers. Two passengers in that car were hospitalized; one was a woman who was in critical condition and the other was a two-year-old who was listed in guarded non-critical condition after sustaining head injuries. In the other vehicle, the driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.

After the initial crash, a van and another car collided with the two cars. The driver of the car and a 16-year-old passenger in the van were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. There were six other occupants in the van who were uninjured.

Those who were injured in this accident and the family of the man killed may wish to consult with an attorney about their right to compensation.
